Assignment 1-3

Fenway Park and the Golden Age of the Baseball Park, 1909-1915
This article was organized logically. It had the different phases laid out so they were easy to understand it did not jump from one era of baseball to another. The ideas and the technology evolution are presented clearly and is easy for someone who followed baseball to understand. The article explained things about the ballparks features that you notice and it explained why they were there. For example the ramps in the park; they are there so people can get in out faster. The key idea that I take away from the article is that these parks that were built in the early 1900’s were architectural masterpieces and helped lay the ground work for the stadiums we use today. Some of the parks that were designed are still in use today. I am a avid baseball fan and would like to visit Fenway Park for a game. I will understand more of the history behind the design of the park.

I like your choice for article. I think that baseball means a lot to many people. I like how you give a brief summary of what the article was about. Your opinion of the article helps make your analysis good. I do think that the analysis was supposed to be longer though.
Even though your analysis was short, I like some of the points you made. Your analysis shows a good understanding of the article and the subject. I thought it was very interesting to see the kind of thought that went into these buildings and how the structure has affected stadiums today.
I am not an expert on baseball at all, but I find it very interesting that they still use some of these places today. I think that you did well at answering some questions, but that your analysis could have been a little longer and in more details.
Fenway park is full of history not only because the park has been around for a long time but also some of baseball greatest players came from there(ei. Ted Williams, Yastrzemski) that could have been mentioned in your analysis. Even though your summary was short, you did a good job analyzing the article.
I absolutely love Fenway. I've visited there numerous times when my cousin played for the Red Sox. The enthusiasm is outrageous. Once you see the stadium, you're just overwhelmed. The history and the atmosphere, just unbelievable. I think once you visit, you definitely will not be disappointed.
